Welcome
!
I'm originally from Taylorsville, North Carolina. I got my bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University and my Ph. D. from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville.
I've been in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science since Fall 2001. This fall I will teach an online course in Statistics. Offline, I'll teach the Senior Capstone course, a section of Statistics, and a course in Numerical Methods.
I'm currently working with many collaborators on "chessboard separation problems". Please look at The N + k Queens Problem Page for more details.
I represent my department in the MSU Faculty Senate, and I am the Newsletter Editor and Webmaster for the Kentucky Section of the Mathematical Association of America.
Have fun looking at the stuff I've put on the web!
