Some websites I've contributed to:

  • The N + k Queens Problem Page: Introduction to the problem of placing more than N queens on an N-by-N board --- with the help of a few pawns.

  • KYMAA Home Page: I'm the newsletter editor and webmaster for the Kentucky Section of the Mathematical Association of America.

  • The On-Line Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences:  large searchable collection of sequences.  I've contributed some sequences:
    • A103330: the number of ways to place n+1 Queens and a Pawn on an n x n chessboard so that the Queens do not attack each other
    • A103331: like the previous sequence, except symmetric solutions count only once
    • A129551: the number of ways to place n+2 Queens and 2 Pawns on an n x n chessboard so that the Queens do not attack each other
    • A129552: like the previous sequence, except symmetric solutions count only once
    • A129553: the number of ways to place n+3 Queens and 3 Pawns on an n x n chessboard so that the Queens do not attack each other
    • A129554: like the previous sequence, except symmetric solutions count only once

  • The Chess Variant Pages :  a huge collection of chess-like games.  Some of these are my inventions, including
  • Nomic.net : a site dedicated to Nomic, a game invented by Peter Suber where each move includes an attempt to change the rules (unless that aspect of the game rules is changed). I used to maintain the Nomic Bulletin Board, a forum for discussion of Nomic-related issues.
