| Computer Experience | I began using computers while employed with the Cabinet for Families and Children. Initially, the computers were just PC’s and were used for word processing and keeping records of child care subsidy payments. Later, computers were installed throughout the office and were networked to each other and to a mainframe in Frankfort, KY. I had no formal training in the use of computers but taught myself to use word processing, spread sheet, presentation, and Internet browser programs. Since coming to work for Morehead State University, I have taken every opportunity to learn more about computers and computer software. I have attended several workshops presented by the Office of Institutional Research & Computer Applications. In my present position as NAHS Academic Department Specialist, I use the computer daily, usually in word processing and spread sheet applications. | |
