The Morehead State University Fall 2006 course of Contemporary World Art History 476,was different than any other before it. Instead of sitting in class taking tests, we were out in the community creating public art. The following pictures document our process and experiences. We were broken up into several groups that each had a specific purpose and had to rely on each other in order to create the mural. The groups main objectives were to: 1. Write a grant 2. Take photographs and document our process 3. Meet with the clinic employees to assess their wants and needs 4. Design the mural 5. Take inventory of the needed supplies and make a price list 6. Write a proposal including our objective, a time frame, supplies needed, and prices, to local stores such as Walmart and Lowes 7. Paint Everyone had to paint at least a small piece to recieve credit. We also had to prepare the area where the mural was going to be installed and figure out how to install it.
