I am from Russell, Kentucky in Greenup County. Throughout my academic career, I was involved in several organizations, including Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society, MSU Geography Club and Gamma Phi Beta sorority. In 2005, I received the Victor Howard Senior History Thesis award for The Sears Years: The Sears, Roebuck and Company Catalog and the Evolution fo a Consumer Society. Also in 2005 I travelled to 5 European countries with fellow History and Social Studies students and two History professors.
Some of my hobbies are learning about World History and civilizations, shopping, travelling,playing miniature golf and being with my dog, Henry. I am also a freelance makeup artist and have worked at a cosmetics counter throughout college and have received some training through various cosmetic companies. I am a lifelong Cleveland Browns and University of Kentucky basketball fan.
My favorite areas that I have some expertise in Social Studies are the Renaissance and Reformation, the Byzantine Empire, the emergence of Great Britain, the Progressive Era in America, Presidential history and the 1980s. I am also interested in Eastern Europe history, political parties and cultural geography.
